Dynamic allocation for input redundant control systems
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper we address control systemswith redundant actuators and characterize the concepts of weak and strong input redundancy. Based on this characterization, we propose a dynamic augmentation to a control scheme which performs the plant input allocation with the goal of employing each actuator in a suitableway, based on itsmagnitude and rate limits. The proposed theory is first developed for redundant plants without saturation and then extended to the case of magnitude saturation first and of magnitude and rate saturation next. Several simulation examples illustrate the proposed technique and show its advantages for practical application. © 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Developing a method for reliability allocation of series-parallel systems by considering common cause failure
Reliability allocation has an essential connection to design for reliability and is an important activity in the product design and development process. In determining the reliability of subsystems or components on the basis of goal reliability, attention must be paid to failure effect, failure information, and improvement opportunities based upon real potentials for reliability improvement. In...
متن کاملDICII Technical report RR-13.02 Appendix to “Torque setpoint tracking for parallel hybrid electric vehicles using dynamic input allocation”, published on IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology
A dynamic allocator is proposed in this section to generalize the strategy for input redundant plants introduced in [1] and extended in [2]. The approach of [1] applies to linear plants with multiple and redundant inputs. The theory is extended here to the case of multiple linear actuators, each of them with its own dynamics, acting on a nonlinear plant with strong input redundancy. In the HEV ...
متن کاملPotentials of Evolving Linear Models in Tracking Control Design for Nonlinear Variable Structure Systems
Evolving models have found applications in many real world systems. In this paper, potentials of the Evolving Linear Models (ELMs) in tracking control design for nonlinear variable structure systems are introduced. At first, an ELM is introduced as a dynamic single input, single output (SISO) linear model whose parameters as well as dynamic orders of input and output signals can change through ...
متن کاملRedundancy Allocation Combined with Supplier Selection for Design of Series-parallel Systems
In this paper a redundancy allocation problem is studied where for the first time the supplier selection is taken into consideration and redundant components are provided from appropriate suppliers with the most suitable offers such as discount on buying price of components, warranty length for components, things like that, so that the system reliability, profit and the warranty length proposed...
متن کاملNon-Redundant Dynamic Data Allocation in Distributed Database Systems
In the past few decades, the significant developments in database and networking technologies contributed to advances in distributed database systems (DDS). The data allocation is a prominent issue in distributed database systems and is performed on data access static and dynamic patterns. This paper proposes a new strategy named Extended Threshold Algorithm (ETA) for non-redundant dynamic data...
